Folic acid (also known as Vitamin B9) helps the body create new healthy red blood cells. Vitamin B9 deficiency is linked to insomnia and is needed for the production of serotonin, making folic acid an essential supplement for getting a good night’s sleep.

Theanine is a plant derived amino acid with calming and relaxing properties. L-Theanine can help you fall asleep more easily and can have a positive impact on the key neurotransmitters that are involved with sleep.

5-HTP, short for 5-hydroxytryptophan, is from the amino acid tryptophan, which can be found in foods like meat, dairy and fish. 5-HTP plays an important role in a range of processes in the body including: regulating intestinal movement, mood, appetite and sleep.
